Today the advance team (Peter Wasilewski and Peter Hardy) made the journey from Santa Cruz to Riberalta through a series of small jumps by bush plane from one dirt airstrip to another. In conjunction with the arrival of the advance team a cadre of trail cutters has set out from Riberalta to make the path to the crater passable. The main body of the field team has now arrived in Santa Cruz and will join the advance team tommorrow.

At long last the MAGPLANE has arrived in Bolivia - its maiden voyage is just a few weeks away.
